Antoine Griezmann (34) is reportedly in discussions with Orlando City SC regarding a potential transfer in the upcoming summer window, as per The Athletic.
The French international, boasting 137 caps and 44 goals, is under contract with Atlético Madrid until June 2027. He has emerged as a key target for The Lions. Although no agreement has been finalized yet, Orlando holds discovery rights over Griezmann, a unique MLS rule that grants them the first opportunity to sign the striker.

Additionally, three other teams within the league are also reportedly interested in acquiring the 2018 World Cup champion.
If Griezmann joins Orlando, he would take up a designated player slot, allowing his salary to bypass MLS salary cap limitations. Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi (38) and Luis Suárez (39) currently play, had contemplated signing the 34-year-old but opted against it as their designated player slots are already filled.
Orlando, who finished ninth in the Eastern Conference last season, aims to secure Griezmann’s signing before the transfer window closes on March 26. However, they face challenges from the player himself, who wishes to complete the season with Madrid and leave on a positive note.
