Arne Slot has made it clear that there are “no issues to resolve” with Mohamed Salah after reinstating him in the Liverpool team following his controversial remarks after the Leeds match.
Salah, who came off the bench to assist in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory against Brighton, had previously criticized Slot, claiming he felt like a scapegoat and expressed that he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club in a recent interview.

Slot was involved in the decision to leave Salah out of the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League game against Inter Milan, but after discussions with Salah on Friday, he deemed him fit for selection once again.
Slot emphasized that their past disagreements are behind them and that he will treat Salah like any other member of the squad.
He stated: “For me, there is no issue to resolve. He’s just like any other player now. You communicate with your players when you’re pleased or displeased about things. There’s nothing more to discuss after what transpired against Leeds.”
Though Slot acknowledged that some managers might have kept Salah sidelined longer, he commended the Egyptian’s impactful performance against Brighton upon his return.

He added, “The reason he wasn’t in Milan was due to his interview, and opinions vary on how long a player should be excluded from the squad. Every manager makes their own choices on that. I spoke with him the day before the game; I typically keep our conversations private, but actions are often more significant than words. He was in the squad again, and when I needed to make my first substitution, I brought him in, and he performed as any fan, including myself, would hope he would.”
“Including him in the squad was an easy choice. He is a Liverpool player, and when he’s available, I aim to utilize him. His performance was a pleasing reminder of why he’s important; he was constantly a threat, which was crucial.”
