Arsenal loanee Maldini Kacurri nominated for Morecambe FC’s Player of the Month for October, competing against ex-Gunner Miguel Azeez.
Morecambe FC has announced the nominees for their Player of the Month award for October, featuring Arsenal loanee Maldini Kacurri.
Morecambe commended Kacurri as a “commanding presence at the back,” noting his impressive composure, defensive awareness, and maturity beyond his years.
The club highlighted that Kacurri’s “consistency in the heart of defense has been critical in several strong team performances.”
Kacurri isn’t the only Hale End academy graduate in contention, as Miguel Azeez has also received a nomination. They are joined by Jake Cain and Joe Nuttall to round out the shortlist.
This October, Kacurri appeared in seven matches for Morecambe, including five in the National League and two in FA Cup qualifiers.
His standout performance came against Boston United, where Morecambe maintained a clean sheet, and Kacurri assisted one of the goals.
Voting is now open on Morecambe’s social media channels, with the winner set to be announced on Thursday, November 6th at 13:00 GMT.
