Arsenal is pursuing a deal to acquire Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid this summer.
As reported by Spanish publication AS, many players in the Arsenal squad already believe that the Brazilian star’s transfer is a ‘done deal’.
Vinicius recently rejected Real Madrid’s latest contract offer, which amounted to €22 million per year.
The 26-year-old is reportedly seeking an annual salary of €30 million to extend his contract, but Real Madrid has indicated they will not exceed their current offer.
Regarded as one of the top forwards globally, Vinicius is noted for his speed, skill, and scoring ability.
Since arriving at Madrid in 2018, he has netted 128 goals and provided 100 assists in 375 matches across all competitions.
The gifted attacker has contributed to the club’s success, winning 14 major trophies, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League titles.
With the summer transfer window approaching its conclusion, a transfer to Arsenal appears more likely.
Vinicius is currently in the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, and there is a substantial gap in contract negotiations.
Arsenal has already acquired Christos Tzolis but is in need of additional attacking options, especially with both Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli likely to depart the Emirates Stadium.
