Reports indicate that former Arsenal shareholder Darren (@DarrenArsenal1) has revealed the club’s plans to implement safe standing in the lower tier of the Clock End this summer, enabling fans to utilize the new zones starting next season.

Additionally, it is said that plans are in place to introduce safe standing in the North Bank’s lower tier by the summer of 2027.

Furthermore, limited safe standing will be added to the Clock End upper tier to accommodate away fans during cup matches when that area is needed.

According to additional sources, the implementation of safe standing areas will not lead to a change in stadium capacity.

Previously, there were discussions suggesting that while Arsenal was in favor of safe standing, it could potentially require a reduction in seating capacity. However, Arsenal confirmed in 2022 that the introduction of safe standing would not result in an increase in capacity.

It appears that the club has devised a plan to establish the new standing areas without altering the total number of seats available in the stadium.

The upcoming introduction of safe standing at the Emirates Stadium is seen as a necessary improvement, particularly in areas where standing is already prevalent among fans.

The addition of safe standing in the Clock End upper tier aims to tackle a recurring issue for Arsenal during cup matches, as local authorities have deemed it unsafe to host away supporters in that area due to concerns about persistent standing.

This situation resulted in last season’s instance where Manchester United occupied a significant portion of the lower tier, leaving over 1,000 seats unused by either team.

Implementing safe standing could effectively resolve this issue, allowing more away fans to occupy both the upper and lower tiers during matches.
