Arsenals New Away Kit…

Arsenal has revealed their new away kit for the 2026-27 season, drawing inspiration once again from their iconic “Bruised Banana” jersey from the early 1990s.

The current Premier League champions have updated this cult classic to create a shirt that aims to honor the club’s legacy while merging football culture with modern style.

The zig-zag pattern from the original 1991-93 jersey has been retained, but the bright yellow shades have been swapped out for navy blues.

Complete with the cannon crest and trefoil for an authentic retro feel, the kit is finished off with red and gold accents.

Since first reviving the Bruised Banana theme in their 2019-20 away kit, Arsenal has frequently revisited this nostalgic design, often replicating it closely.

The Gunners have also utilized this distinctive pattern for match kits, streetwear, and merchandise on several occasions.

This reliance on nostalgia is beginning to feel reminiscent of Marge Simpson’s pink Chanel suit, which she bought on discount and continually altered to create the illusion of having various outfits.

From a neutral’s viewpoint, however, this trend might be feeling a bit overdone.

Can there be too much of a good thing?
