The Manchester City manager has reviewed multiple videos showcasing the emerging Köln star and recently dispatched scouts to Bundesliga matches to observe him in action.

Barcelona and Manchester City are not the only clubs interested in him. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping an eye on Said El Mala.
The young winger is having a standout season in German football, having scored four goals and provided one assist in ten Bundesliga matches.
His impressive development earned him a call-up to the German national team by manager Julian Nagelsmann this month, although he has yet to make his debut.

Köln took a proactive step in July by extending Said El Mala’s contract until 2030. Consequently, if they decide to part with him, they are expected to demand a fee of at least €40 million.
Discussions between the club and the player’s representatives are anticipated during the winter transfer window. Nevertheless, he remains focused on finishing the season strongly with Köln and securing a spot on the German team for the World Cup.
