Barcelona is reportedly monitoring Algerian international Ibrahim Maza during the 2025 African Cup of Nations, as noted by Mundo Deportivo.
The 20-year-old has been in outstanding form for Algeria, having scored in their 3-0 victory over Sudan and delivering a solid performance in the 1-0 win against Burkina Faso.

Last summer, Bayer Leverkusen acquired Maza from Hertha Berlin for €12 million, and he has made a noticeable impact this season.
With four goals and three assists so far across all competitions, Maza has gained significant attention for his impressive showings in the Champions League against Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Maza is highly regarded among Europe’s elite dribblers and creative playmakers, and his shooting ability makes him a potent threat in the attacking third.
He has been a key player in Leverkusen’s resurgence under coach Kasper Hjulmand.
If Maza maintains his excellent form with Algeria, his value could soar, with his next match set to be against DR Congo in the round of 16.

While Barcelona currently boasts quality attacking midfielders like Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez, they would be eager to secure a talent like Maza, especially considering Olmo’s injury issues and inconsistency.
This summer, their main focus is expected to be on acquiring a centre-back and a striker.
Targets include Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck, Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, and Levante’s Karl Etta Eyong.
