According to a report by SPORT, FC Barcelona is closely monitoring the situation of former academy winger Estanis Pedrola, who has garnered attention following a successful loan stint at UD Las Palmas last season.
In recent years, the Catalan club’s strategy of incorporating sell-on clauses with academy graduates has proven to be financially beneficial.

Players such as Jean-Clair Todibo, Nico Gonzalez, Ilaix Moriba, Alex Collado, Ludovit Reis, and Ferran Jutgla have all brought in financial returns through future transfer percentages.
Barcelona still retains similar clauses on several former players across Europe.
The club holds 40% of any future transfer fee for Jan Virgili, 20% for Sergi Dominguez, a minor share of Sergino Dest’s rights, and notably, 50% of any future transfer involving Estanis Pedrola.
Strong Performance at Las Palmas
Pedrola excelled during his loan at UD Las Palmas in the latter part of last season, establishing himself as a vital attacking asset.
His speed, direct approach, and versatility on either wing provided the team with a fresh attacking edge, earning him acclaim for his transformative contributions.

Skilled with both feet, Pedrola is adept at creating and converting scoring opportunities, illustrating the characteristics of a contemporary, adaptable winger. His performances have not gone unnoticed.
Interest from Multiple Clubs
While Pedrola remains under contract with Sampdoria, where he signed permanently in 2023 after meeting a purchase clause based on his appearances, several clubs in the Segunda Division are now showing interest in acquiring him.
The Italian club had paid Barcelona €3 million for the winger, and the Catalan club secured a 50% sell-on clause along with a €7 million buy-back option, which expires in 2025.
Barcelona is therefore watching the situation closely, as they could profit from another transfer.

Oviedo Leading the Charge
RCD Mallorca had shown strong interest in Pedrola earlier in the summer, but their focus has shifted to other wide player options.
Las Palmas also expressed a desire to re-sign him following his productive loan period, but talks fell through due to a breakdown in their relationship with president Miguel Angel Ramírez.
This situation has created opportunities for Real Oviedo, who are currently in the best position to finalize a deal. Discussions are progressing positively, although a formal agreement remains elusive.
If Pedrola moves permanently for a fee between €1 million and €1.5 million, Barcelona stands to gain half of that transfer income due to the existing sell-on clause, with Sampdoria taking the remainder.

Given that the winger’s contract extends until 2027, this may be Barcelona’s last viable chance to capitalize on his transfer rights.
