PSG has a history of attracting talent from Barcelona, with recent acquisitions including Arnau Tenas and Ousmane Dembélé. Not to mention the notable transfers of Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Xavi Simons from Spain to France. Could another move be on the horizon?
Could PSG Secure Another Barcelona Player?

Despite the midfielder’s recent long-term injury, E-Notícies reports that PSG’s manager, Luis Enrique, is still keen on acquiring Barcelona player Gavi.

In August, the 21-year-old participated in Barcelona’s first two matches this season before sustaining a right knee injury during training. Following surgery, he is expected to be sidelined for around five months.
“He’s a player with a big heart and a lot of emotion,” said Barcelona’s manager Hansi Flick after the injury announcement (h/t BBC). “It’s tough for the team because he is incredibly talented, but we will all support him and help him return to his best form.”
Interestingly, PSG’s interest in Gavi may not be entirely new. Earlier in the year, Dembélé, who has been in remarkable form since the beginning of 2025, stirred speculation when he updated his Instagram profile picture to a nostalgic photo of himself with Gavi from their time together at Barcelona.
