Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, who has experienced a surge in his market value this season, is once again set to be a key player for Spain as La Roja aims to maintain their winning momentum during this international break.
Spain is scheduled to compete against Georgia and Bulgaria during this window, with Ferran anticipated to lead the attack for coach Luis de la Fuente’s squad.
Ferran on the verge of a landmark achievement
These upcoming matches are significant for Ferran, as he stands on the brink of reaching an important milestone in his international career.
The Barcelona forward has the opportunity to join the ranks of the top 10 goal scorers in Spanish national team history.
If he scores just one more goal, he will tie the scoring record of Real Madrid legends Alfredo Di Stefano and Sergio Ramos, both of whom netted 23 goals for the national team.

Currently with 22 goals in 50 appearances, Ferran is positioned at 11th on the all-time list. Scoring two more goals would see him break into the top nine, surpassing both Di Stefano and Ramos.
To make it into the top five, however, he would need to score 14 more goals, which would allow him to surpass David Silva, who has netted 35 goals.
Nonetheless, before the World Cup, Ferran will at least aim to enter the top seven by breaking Fernando Morientes’ record of 27 goals.
David Villa currently holds the record for Spain’s all-time goal scorers, with 59 goals, followed by Raul with 44 and Fernando Torres with 38.
Interestingly, Ferran boasts a higher goals-per-game ratio (0.44) than Raul (0.43) and Torres (0.35), as well as most players in the top 10, aside from Villa (0.6), Di Stefano (0.71), and Morientes (0.57).
