Bayern director issues…

Tomorrow evening, the iconic Santiago Bernabeu will host an intense UEFA Champions League showdown as Real Madrid faces Bayern Munich in the first leg of the quarter-finals.

In the lead-up to this highly anticipated match, concerns have arisen regarding the fitness of Bayern’s star striker, Harry Kane.

The prolific English forward missed international duty during the break due to a slight injury and was absent from Bayern’s latest match, a thrilling 3-2 victory against SC Freiburg this past weekend.

However, he has since train regularly with the squad before this morning’s flight to Madrid.

Harry Kane Update

Bayern Munich’s director, Max Eberl, has provided an optimistic update regarding Kane’s status ahead of the clash.

He confirmed that the England international has taken all necessary steps to ensure his availability for tomorrow’s match at the Bernabeu.

“Harry Kane has done everything he can to be involved vs Real Madrid; he even took part in the final training session,” Eberl confirmed, as cited by Fabrizio Romano.

When asked about the possibility of him starting tomorrow night, Eberl stated:

“Whether he starts tomorrow or not is up to Vinnie. But he’s available and feeling good.”

Regardless, Kane’s presence will certainly concern Real Madrid, as he has been in phenomenal form this season.

As of now, in the 2025/26 season, the former Tottenham star has netted 48 goals in just 40 appearances across all competitions and has added five assists to his tally.

With Kane likely fit to play, the challenge of containing him will rest on the shoulders of veteran Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger.
