Bayern Munich Secures…

Bayern Munich clinched their Bundesliga title defense with a resounding 4-2 victory over Stuttgart on Sunday.

Vincent Kompany’s squad knew that a draw or win would secure the championship after Borussia Dortmund fell 2-1 to Hoffenheim on Saturday, and they seized this opportunity with an impressive performance at home.

Chris Führich got Stuttgart on the scoreboard first, but swift goals from Raphaël Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson, and Alphonso Davies within a six-minute span turned the match in Bayern’s favor.

Harry Kane came off the bench in the second half and marked his 51st goal of the season across all competitions, sealing the victory for his side.

A late goal from Chema Andrés provided little concern for Kompany’s team, who celebrated jubilantly at the final whistle.

Stuttgart began strongly when Bilal El Khannouss set up Führich, who scored in the 21st minute to take the lead.

Jamal Musiala provided the assist for the equalizer, sending a perfect cross into the box for Guerreiro, who emphatically fired home.

Just two minutes later, Jackson, filling in for Kane, scored from a quick counter before Davies extended the lead with a clever finish.

Upon his introduction, Kane scored his 32nd goal of the season, securing the title for Bayern with four matches still to play, while Andrés’ late strike was merely a consolation.

Bayern lifted their 13th Bundesliga trophy in the last 14 seasons, with their only interruption being an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen in 2023-24, totaling 35 championships overall.

They have lost only once in the league this season, that defeat coming at home against Augsburg on January 24.

After shattering their own 54-year-old record for goals scored in a Bundesliga season by surpassing 102 on April 11, they further solidified their dominance.
