If you want updates: – Open the BBC Sport app, tap the menu in the top-right, then choose Notifications. – For news alerts without spoilers before 09:00 BST: tap Add notifications > Sport News, then select Top Stories and Football News. – For automatic score alerts (including goals): tap Add notifications > Football > FIFA World Cup > England Men, then pick the alert types you want.
If you don’t want updates: – Open the app menu > Notifications. – Check if you’re following England Men. – If you are, tap it and switch off the alerts you don’t want. – If you aren’t, you won’t receive any spoiler notifications. – For total peace of mind, you can choose Mute all notifications—just remember to turn them back on once you’ve seen the result.
