Birmingham City has made its fifth new addition ahead of the upcoming season by securing a deal for Palermo defender Kristoffer Lund.
The 24-year-old left-back from the USA has signed a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Lund, who was born in Denmark, began his senior career with FC Midtjylland in 2021 after progressing through the club’s youth academy. He then spent time playing in Sweden.
He joined Palermo three years prior and made a total of 72 appearances for the Serie B club, later spending last season on loan to Bundesliga side FC Cologne in Germany.
Totaling seven caps for the USA national team, though not selected for the World Cup squad, Lund joins Argentine striker Luis Vazquez, defender Dael Fry, loan goalkeeper James Beadle, and the now-permanent signing Jhon Solis, as part of head coach Chris Davies’ squad for the 2026-27 season at St Andrew’s.
