Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Ruben Rodrigues on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old has joined the club on an 18-month contract, with an option for an additional year.
Rodrigues began his professional career in the Netherlands before moving to Notts County in 2020, where he netted 51 goals in 127 matches. He later joined Oxford United in June 2023, scoring 13 goals in 95 appearances, before transferring to Brazilian Serie A club EC Vitoria last summer.

Head coach Steven Schumacher stated on the club website, “Ruben is a player we’ve had our eye on for quite some time. He possesses the technical skills to break down defenses and has the experience of securing promotion from this league.”
Rodrigues is now the sixth player added by Bolton during the January transfer window, as the team sits third in League One ahead of their match against Wimbledon on Saturday.
