Bournemouth are close to completing an £11.1m deal for Sevilla right-back Juanlu, with new manager Marco Rose edging toward finalizing his squad.
The 22-year-old is set to join on a long-term contract for an initial £9.4m plus £1.7m in add-ons, moving to the south coast. A tall, attack-minded full-back, Juanlu already boasts considerable experience and has been frequently selected for Spain’s youth teams.
He would become the Cherries’ third summer signing, following the arrivals of Antonio Silva from Benfica for £25.7m and striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche for the same fee earlier in the window.
Rose’s remaining priority is a No. 2 goalkeeper to challenge Djordje Petrovic as Bournemouth continue pre-season ahead of their first-ever Europa League campaign.
Sevilla have shown interest in forward Enes Unal, whom Bournemouth are open to selling, though the Turkey international is also considering options in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, senior figures at the Vitality Stadium insist Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan, and Alex Scott are not for sale.
