Brighton 0-1 Crystal…

Oliver Glasner, manager of Crystal Palace, spoke to BBC Match of the Day: “In the end, yes. The first half wasn’t great, but we were very competitive in our duels and took our opportunity. They had their chances too, but we kept a clean sheet, secured a victory after several months without one, and did it all away against Brighton, which means a lot to our fans. It was a fantastic Sunday afternoon.”

“It’s such a relief. We can analyze everything, but nothing compares to a win. We truly earned it. While we couldn’t expect to play our best football, we were compact and aggressive in our approach.”

“I must commend our defenders. Jeff Lerma had six or seven clearances, and we were never caught off guard; we knew how they intended to play. We restricted their crossing opportunities and didn’t allow any second chances. Everyone performed their role excellently.”

On debutant Jorgen Strand Larsen: “He put in a tremendous effort and was a constant threat. His work with the smaller details was impressive, and he defended set pieces very well. I did tell him it wasn’t perfect afterwards, but I believe things will come together for him in a few weeks.”
