FC Barcelona is preparing to search for a top centre-forward next summer to succeed Robert Lewandowski, whose contract concludes at the end of the season.
Despite the impressive form of the 37-year-old veteran in recent weeks, it appears that Barcelona will not extend his contract and instead seek a new player to spearhead their attack.

To this end, Bayern Munich and England star Harry Kane has surfaced as a potential target for the La Liga champions, with his €65 million release clause for next summer viewed as appealing.
Kane Comments on His Future
Ahead of the highly anticipated Champions League match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, Kane addressed questions regarding his future and Barcelona’s interest.
“I haven’t spoken to anyone, nor has anyone reached out to me. I feel very comfortable in my current situation, and we haven’t discussed anything with Bayern regarding the future yet,” Kane told BILD (h/t SPORT).
“There’s no rush. I’m happy at Bayern, and that reflects in my performance. If any conversations happen, we’ll see. To be honest, I’m not thinking about next season right now. The immediate focus is on the World Cup after the season ends,” he added.

When pressed further about the possibility of leaving Bayern this summer, the former Tottenham Hotspur star stated, “It’s very unlikely that anything will change next season.”
When asked whether Bayern fans should be concerned, he asserted, “No, I don’t think so.”
Kane’s comments suggest he may not be seeking a new opportunity at the end of the season, which could hinder Barcelona’s plans.
The Blaugrana have made inquiries about his situation but have not moved further. He is highly regarded at the Catalan club, which believes a potential move could mirror Lewandowski’s successful transition a few years back.
However, whether Kane is open to considering a change next summer remains uncertain.
