Ahead of his team’s 1-1 draw with Ghana in Cardiff on 2 June, Bellamy said everything is in place, he has full backing, and the next two years will give him a chance to improve again.
He acknowledged the links but said he doesn’t look too far ahead and is happy with what he has here.
He noted that similar opportunities have been offered elsewhere, but he already has what he wants in this role.
Bellamy added that Wales gave him a chance despite his lack of managerial experience—something others might not have done—and he’s grateful for that.
He stressed that he is ambitious and wants to earn a lot of money, but feels now is not the right time.
Before the June international camp, FAW officials told BBC Sport Wales they were very confident Bellamy would see out his contract—which runs until the end of Euro 2028—despite early interest from Burnley.
