Carlisle United has secured the loan signing of goalkeeper Archie Mair from Morecambe for the remainder of the National League season.
The 24-year-old, who made the transition from Aberdeen to Norwich City in 2019, did not feature in any first-team matches for the Canaries. Instead, he spent time on loan at various clubs before joining Morecambe permanently last summer.
During one of his loan spells at Notts County, Mair played a pivotal role in their promotion back to the EFL in 2023 by saving the crucial penalty in the shootout.
Now, he aims to assist Carlisle in achieving a similar goal, as the team currently sits fifth in the National League and is set to host Altrincham on Saturday.
