Carnevali warns Kolo…

Giovanni Carnevali, the director of Juventus, has expressed concerns about the ‘excessive demands’ from Paris Saint-Germain regarding Randal Kolo Muani. He hinted that Juventus might explore other options, stating that they ‘do not need’ Davide Frattesi from Inter.

The Bianconeri have been in negotiations with PSG ever since Kolo Muani joined on loan in January 2025, yet a new agreement remains elusive.

The loan deal, which cost €3.6 million, was extended to include the Club World Cup scheduled for July 2025. However, he has since been loaned to Tottenham Hotspur and returned to PSG this summer.

Despite ongoing discussions, Carnevali has acknowledged that the situation is stagnating.

“The demands are too high, so if we can’t come to an agreement, we will consider different players,” Carnevali remarked on RAI GR Parlamento radio.

With Juventus unwilling to meet PSG’s €40 million asking price, Paris Saint-Germain has initiated discussions for Kolo Muani with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

“The cost of players is constantly rising, reaching figures that are nearly unfeasible, while Serie A clubs’ revenues cannot compete with those of the Premier League,” Carnevali explained.

“We must cut costs and achieve financial stability, which is challenging. There’s no denying the fact that our league is in a stagnant state when it comes to the transfer market,” he added.

Although Frattesi, who is available from Inter, could be a cost-effective option for Juventus, Carnevali emphasized that they can be eliminated from consideration for that player.

“Frattesi is an exceptional talent who would thrive at any top club, but we have no need for a player with his skill set,” he concluded.
