At 26 years old, the Portuguese striker began his career in the academies of Candal, Boavista, Paços de Ferreira, and Rio Ave in Portugal. After making a mark with the Rio Ave reserves, he moved on to lower league clubs Valadares Gaia, Fátima, Sporting Ideal, and Vila Meã, before his career took a significant upward turn when he joined Moss FK in the Norwegian third tier.
Braga’s impressive goal-scoring record helped Moss FK secure promotion to the second division. In 2024, after Aalesunds FK was relegated from Eliteserien, they captured Braga for a fee of €520k, before he transferred to Hearts a year and a half later. During his time with Hearts, he recorded 17 goals and 6 assists in 44 appearances, earning accolades such as the BBC Football Awards Scottish Premiership Player of the Year and the Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season.
