Chelsea is gearing up for significant moves with renewed discussions.
Historically, Liverpool did not view Chelsea as a rival until José Mourinho made his entry into English football around 20 years ago. Since that time, Chelsea has become a notable rival for the Reds.

Over the years, Chelsea has recruited several key players from Liverpool, including Fernando Torres, Yossi Benayoun, and Raul Meireles. The loss of Torres was particularly painful for Liverpool fans, marking a peak in the rivalry between the two clubs.
This became evident during their first match at Stamford Bridge, where Meireles scored the decisive goal for Liverpool, only to be followed by Torres’s transfer less than a year later.
Moreover, Chelsea hasn’t just taken Liverpool players; they’ve also blocked significant Liverpool targets from signing, such as Diego Costa, and more recently, Moisés Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
Chelsea seems to relish being a thorn in Liverpool’s side, yet often, Liverpool has the last laugh, as evidenced by players like Daniel Sturridge, Mohamed Salah, and now Rio Ngumoha.
Despite Chelsea acquiring Liverpool stars, it’s interesting that Liverpool tends to transform some of Chelsea’s overlooked talent into stars, much to Chelsea’s disappointment.
Currently, it appears Chelsea is pivoting their strategy by vying for crucial personnel rather than just players.
This includes targeting former Anfield director Dave Fallows.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea is in discussions to hire Dave Fallows for a senior sporting leadership position. Fallows, who spent over 10 years at Liverpool, played a significant role in the recruitment of Salah and many others.
During his time at Liverpool, he held the title of Head of Scouting.
Before Liverpool, he worked at Manchester City, but Liverpool lured him away. He left the club last year and has been searching for new opportunities since.
At 65 years old, Fallows may soon secure a notable position at Chelsea, following his impressive track record at Anfield.
Although discussions are still in progress and nothing is finalized, it will be intriguing to see how things unfold if Chelsea successfully brings him on board.
