“Doesn’t Manchester City keep getting stronger?
These were the remarks made by former City forward and BBC analyst Daniel Sturridge after Guardiola’s team clinched their second trophy of the season with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Wembley.

“Just when people think they have run out of steam, they end up winning two domestic trophies and are still in the Premier League race,” commented the former England international.
“It’s a successful season for them in terms of trophies.”
With another victory at Wembley, Guardiola’s trophy count at City has now reached an impressive 20 during his decade with the club.
He’ll be eager to secure one more next week, as he hopes to take advantage of any slip-ups from title contenders Arsenal to potentially capture another Premier League title.
Speaking on BBC One after the match, former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer remarked: “Although it may not have been a classic performance, Manchester City had to work exceptionally hard for the win.”
The Sunday Telegraph’s back page featured the headline, “Semenyo Stunner,” praising the Ghana international who scored the winning goal with an exquisite backheel move.
