“Is Messi better than me? I don’t think so. I refuse to be humble,” Ronaldo asserted during an interview with Piers Morgan.

From 2008 to 2017, both Messi and Ronaldo dominated the Ballon d’Or awards while representing Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively. Their exceptional performances transformed the sport and ignited an ongoing debate about who is the greatest of all time.
Ronaldo has secured five Champions League titles, while Messi boasts four. Nevertheless, with five Ballon d’Or awards, Ronaldo still trails behind Messi’s impressive total of eight.
In addition to their club successes, both have also led their national teams to victory. Ronaldo guided Portugal to triumph in the Euro 2016, while Messi led Argentina to victory in the World Cup in 2022.
