On Wednesday, it was officially announced that David Guion has been appointed as the manager of Ligue 2 club Clermont Foot.
Clermont Foot is undergoing significant changes. A deal between the current owners, Coresports Alliance, and potential buyers, ABL Finance, was revealed on Sunday. This takeover will see Stéphane Tissier assuming control of Les Auvergnats. Initially, Laurent Batlles was expected to become the new manager of the club.

Guion Signs a Two-Year Contract
As the club enters a new chapter, it will be David Guion, rather than Batlles, who takes charge. Guion, the former manager of Girondins de Bordeaux, most recently held the position at ESTAC Troyes. He has committed to a two-year contract with Clermont Foot.
The announcement comes just as the Ligue 2 club prepares to commence pre-season training. Medical assessments are scheduled for this week, with training set to begin on June 29.
