Davies extends contract…

Ben Davies, a seasoned defender for Tottenham Hotspur, has committed to a new one-year contract, extending his tenure with the club until the end of next season.

His previous contract was set to expire at the end of this month, potentially leading to his departure from the team.

At 33 years old, the Wales international, who made the switch to Spurs from Swansea in July 2014, will now enter his 13th season with the north London club.

Davies has been an essential contributor over the years, and the club’s management considers his experience and leadership to be vital, especially during Roberto de Zerbi’s inaugural full season as head coach.

Earlier this year, he underwent surgery for a broken ankle in January, limiting him to only three Premier League appearances last season as Spurs narrowly escaped relegation to the Championship.

Throughout his career at Tottenham, Davies has played 363 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals.
