Following Liverpool’s exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris St-Germain on Tuesday, we wanted to hear your thoughts.

Here are some of your responses:

Ian: Liverpool put in effort, but it seemed like PSG was always in control. While many factors have affected Liverpool this season, the most concerning issue is the absence of a distinct playing style. The players seem to be trying hard, but it appears too disorganized and reactionary, which ultimately reflects coaching shortcomings.

Frank: The performance was scattered and ineffective, with puzzling choices in formation, player selection, and tactics. Slot seems incapable of managing a team at this level. He may have to resign by the end of the season, barely qualifying for next year’s Champions League.

Karen: We played noticeably better in this match, but unfortunately, we faced a top-class team in PSG. We were once at that level, but sadly, not anymore. Liverpool needs a comprehensive overhaul to become real competitors again.

Michael: It’s time for Slot to go. The spirit of Champions League nights at Anfield feels lost, and mediocrity has become the norm. We’ve lost our fighting spirit, and this situation can’t continue.

Mark: Although there was improvement, we still couldn’t find the net. A top-five finish is now essential to avoid what would be a very disappointing season.

Shane: It was a valiant effort, but the defeat was expected. Once again, Slot tinkered with the lineup when he should have started the squad that defeated Fulham. I’m eager for a change at the helm.

Paul: We showed some fight in the second half, but the game was already lost due to Slot’s starting lineup decisions. It’s disheartening to think we lost to PSG on penalties last year (though they were better over two legs), but this year the gap seemed significant. Slot lacks the necessary insight and must go.

Miko: Starting an out-of-form Isak was an utterly baffling decision. Nevertheless, the class disparity between us and PSG was evident over both legs. Ekitike’s severe injury only added insult to injury. It’s frustrating that our pricey squad isn’t capable of competing for trophies, regardless of whether it’s a transition year. Slot and Hughes need to be held accountable for the transfer decisions that have led us here, while our rivals have progressed.
