Liverpool confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that they have reached an agreement to sign Samuel Martinez.
The 17-year-old Colombian star impressed at the U17 Copa America earlier this year.
However, an immediate move to Liverpool isn’t on the cards; he will have to wait until his 18th birthday, in April, to be eligible to join the club, which means he will arrive in the summer of 2027.
During this interim period, he is expected to continue his development with Atletico Nacional’s U20 team.
