Paulo Dybala is said to have reservations about Roma’s contract offer, but is anticipated to finalize a new agreement next week.

Discussions regarding the Argentine’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico have been ongoing, and as reported by Corriere dello Sport, the club hopes to seal the deal early next week.

According to the Rome-based outlet, Dybala is not entirely satisfied with Roma’s offer, which entails a significant pay reduction and a one-year extension through June 2027.

However, the club has consented to add an option for an extra year, potentially securing Dybala’s stay until 2028.

Dybala has garnered interest from other clubs, including Boca Juniors, but he is keen to remain at Roma, partly for family reasons, despite his dissatisfaction with the club’s proposal.

Matteo Moretto reported earlier this week that Dybala has already communicated to Boca that he plans to stay with Roma for at least one more season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Dybala’s agent, lawyers, and Roma officials are expected to finalize discussions in the next few days.

The final details, including bonuses, are yet to be resolved, while Dybala is set to return to Rome in five days.

Both Roma and Gian Piero Gasperini are hopeful that by then, Dybala will have signed a new contract.
