Endrick Felipe speaks on…

Endrick Felipe’s season has seen a dramatic shift. After facing challenges at Real Madrid, he’s found his stride with Lyon, the club he joined on loan during the winter transfer window.

In an interview with WinWin (via Marca), Endrick discussed his transition from Real Madrid to Lyon, elaborating on his decision to join the Ligue 1 team, which was recently knocked out of the Europa League by Celta Vigo.

“Game rhythm is crucial. Playing 90 or 60 minutes is different from just 15 or 30—it allows you to take more risks with less pressure to avoid mistakes. The sporting director and Paulo Fonseca had several discussions with me before my decision. They instilled a lot of confidence in me, and I knew I would have more chances, albeit with higher expectations.”

Endrick: Real Madrid Is the Most Successful Club in the World

Endrick plans to return to Real Madrid in the summer, eager for more playing time. He reflected on his initial 18 months at the Bernabeu but admitted he hasn’t yet spoken with new head coach Alvaro Arbeloa.

“We haven’t had a conversation yet. My focus is on Lyon right now. I’ll support Real Madrid in the Champions League, but I’m fully dedicated to my work here. It is the most successful club in the world, and playing there is a challenge for anyone, young or old. The club is always scouting for new talents, and fans are eager to see them on the pitch, though that doesn’t always happen immediately.”

Endrick Thrilled by Carlo Ancelotti’s Influence

He was also asked about Carlo Ancelotti, who he worked with at Real Madrid and currently coaches the Brazilian national team.

“I learned a lot from him at Real Madrid, scoring goals in every competition we played together. Now our collaboration is different, without daily interactions, but I’m confident we will accomplish great things together.”
