Estêvão Returns to…

Chelsea winger Estêvão has returned to his former club Palmeiras to continue recovery for his hamstring injury.

The Brazilian international has been out of action since April 18 due to an injury sustained during a 1-0 loss to Manchester United, making him uncertain for the upcoming World Cup.

According to sources, the teenager will be spending time in São Paulo, utilizing Palmeiras’ facilities for rehabilitation. However, Chelsea is overseeing all aspects of his recovery, having sent a specialist to Brazil to monitor his treatment.

Before his injury, Estêvão, aged 19, was strongly expected to be part of Brazil’s World Cup squad, with national coach Carlo Ancelotti being a notable supporter of the young star. Since joining Chelsea from Palmeiras for £29 million ($38 million) last summer, he has scored eight goals in 36 matches across all competitions.
