Harry: After enduring 11 years of David Moyes’ style of play, I now have to watch more of this cautious approach from Dave! It’s simply not acceptable. While we know some players aren’t performing, this is the best squad we’ve had in years, yet they seem unsure of their roles. What style of football are we playing? The fans are growing tired.
Percy: Another disappointing performance at home. Our left-back and striker positions are still weak. Any reason for Patterson’s absence? We want Barry to succeed, but he’s clearly a long-term project. We even played better with 10 men on the pitch. Compared to previous seasons, this one feels more promising, but now we need to solidify our spot in the top half and deliver complete 90-minute performances. That’s easier said than done in this league.
Stuart: This game encapsulated our season. Poor home performance, failure to capitalize on chances, defensive lapses from full-backs, and an unnecessary red card. Extremely frustrating!
Tony: Once again, poor team selection let us down. With a center-back positioned at right-back, we ended up with a red card while leaving an actual right-back on the bench. Both we and Bournemouth earned what we got. I’m not on board with the narrative about the new stadium.
Bournemouth Supporters
James: Despite not playing our best, we deserved the win. Everton only showed up in the final 20 minutes, ironically after being reduced to 10 men. James Hill stepping up in defense has been one of the season’s highlights. The £1 million signing from Fleetwood has outperformed some of our pricier signings. Jimenez also played consistently well. Another three points in the bag—up the Cherries!
Drew: A courageous display in front of a passionate crowd—showed real quality and earned a well-deserved three points. Hill is a fantastic player!
Tim: No one deserved the Player of the Match award more than James Hill. He’s fought hard for his spot, and every game reinforces why he should remain in the lineup. Our defensive performances give me hope, especially contrasting with Diakite’s earlier struggles at the beginning of the season. That defeat to Brentford was our turning point.
