Everton and Crystal Palace have finalized a swap deal, sending Toffees winger Dwight McNeil to the Eagles in exchange for Wales international Brennan Johnson moving the other way.
Both players are set to undergo medical examinations on Monday to finalize their transfers.

The wingers are expected to sign initial four-year contracts with their new teams.
McNeil, 26, was close to a move to Selhurst Park earlier this February; Palace had arranged a loan-to-buy agreement that would convert to a £20m permanent transfer in the summer. However, the deal fell through when the necessary paperwork couldn’t be completed on time, despite McNeil having passed his medical.
In a social media post, his partner, Megan Sharpley, expressed her frustration with Palace, stating: “In a world where mental health issues are so prevalent, why do we find it acceptable to neglect the mental well-being of young athletes simply because they earn high salaries? It’s not just part of the job.”
“Being promised something and then experiencing an emotional rollercoaster, only to have everything taken away at the last moment without any explanation, has caused more pain than I can express.”
However, the deal has been revived, now including Johnson in the exchange.
The 25-year-old has made 45 appearances for Wales and scored the winning goal for Tottenham in their 1-0 victory over Manchester United during the Europa League final in May 2025.
Johnson previously joined Palace for £35m in January, aiding the team in reaching the Conference League final, although he did not play in their 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano as they secured their first European trophy.

Despite 26 appearances for Palace across all competitions, including 13 starts in the Premier League, Johnson did not score during his time there.
McNeil joined Everton from Burnley for £20m in July 2022, scoring 15 goals in 128 matches across all competitions during his tenure.
Everton finished 13th in the Premier League last season, while Palace ended two places lower but qualifies for the Europa League in the 2026-27 season following their Conference League victory.
The two clubs will face off at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, August 22, to kick off the Premier League season.
