Despite widespread speculation about Jonathan David’s future with Juventus following a disappointing debut season since joining from Lille, GIFN has learned that the Canadian forward is not looking to leave the club. He aims to stay under coach Luciano Spalletti for at least another season.
Currently, Juventus is planning to revamp their attacking lineup after securing the return of Kolo Muani from PSG on a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option exceeding €45 million. Additionally, the club has its sights set on former Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, who has faced limited playing time since moving to Manchester United.
After a lackluster first season in which the 26-year-old managed only 6 goals and 4 assists in 35 matches in Serie A, Juventus appears open to selling David after just one year. However, no firm offers have yet come in for the Canadian striker despite some initial interest.
David has no desire to force a departure from Juventus; he remains committed to proving himself at the club. Nonetheless, he would consider leaving if the club were to accept a suitable offer from a prospective buyer.
