FA mandates minimum 10

Under tougher Football Association rules taking effect this season, players found guilty of discrimination will receive a minimum 10-match ban.
Previously, “aggravated breaches” of FA Rule E3.2—covering misconduct related to ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, or disability—carried suspensions of six to 12 matches.
The increased penalties also apply to managers and others in the technical area, reflecting the FA’s commitment to “delivering a game free from discrimination.”
