Fenerbahçe’s coach, Domenico Tedesco, has acknowledged that the Turkish club is in search of a new striker, but he plans to keep utilizing Youssef En-Nesyri until a replacement is found: “It’s quite straightforward…”

The Moroccan international En-Nesyri was an unused substitute during Fenerbahçe’s 1-1 draw with Göztepe on Sunday.

The former Sevilla forward had discussions with Juventus after the Serie A club reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe regarding a loan deal with an option to buy.

However, Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini confirmed on Sunday that En-Nesyri is looking for a permanent transfer and is not interested in moving to Turin on an initial loan.

When asked about the striker’s future at the club, Tedesco stated (via Calciomercato.com): “The situation regarding Youssi is straightforward from my viewpoint. As long as he remains a Fenerbahçe player, he is one of us. It is also true, however, that we are in search of a striker.”

Juventus, meanwhile, is not willing to wait any longer to secure a new center-forward and has reportedly reopened discussions with Manchester United regarding Joshua Zirkzee.

Following a 3-0 victory over Napoli, Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti openly stated that the Bianconeri require a new center-forward with specific skill sets different from those of Jonathan David.
