Furlani Faces Milan…

Reports indicate that CEO Giorgio Furlani and advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic are likely to be ousted from their positions at AC Milan, potentially paving the way for Adriano Galliani’s return.

It’s clear that a significant transformation is needed within the Rossoneri camp this summer, particularly as a power struggle unfolds behind the scenes.

CEO Furlani is reportedly at odds with sports director Igli Tare, while coach Max Allegri is not communicating with Ibrahimovic. Meanwhile, benefactor Gerry Cardinale is obligated to make crucial decisions shortly.

As per MilanNews and Tuttomercatoweb, Furlani is the main figure facing potential dismissal in this upheaval at the center of these changes.

Having held significant influence at the club for years while representing former owners Elliott Management, Furlani’s position is precarious now that Elliott no longer holds decisive power after a buyout.

This shift gives Cardinale and RedBird the opportunity to move forward without Furlani, who has faced backlash from disgruntled fans in recent protests.

Additionally, Ibrahimovic may also be on the chopping block following his disagreements with Allegri, although it’s considered unlikely that Tare will remain in his role following these changes.

Current reports suggest a potential return for Galliani, who served as Milan’s CEO for over thirty years during the Silvio Berlusconi era and subsequently joined Monza.

Though Galliani will turn 82 in July, his involvement could be a short-term strategy aimed at revitalizing the Diavolo.

Massimo Calvelli, the trusted assistant to Cardinale, is charged with the task of identifying a long-term general manager for the club.
