Gent has confirmed that young striker Hyllarion Goore has signed an upgraded contract with the club, which now extends until 2029. This follows interest from clubs such as Paris FC and Freiburg during the latest transfer window. However, Goore has chosen to remain in Belgium.
Goore originally joined Gent in January 2025 from Ararat and made 15 appearances for the senior team during the remainder of that season. While he didn’t score initially, his potential clearly attracted attention from international clubs as well as Gent. Up to now this season, Goore has featured in 30 matches for the Buffaloes, netting six goals and providing three assists, despite serving primarily as a backup to former Cardiff City striker Wilfried Kanga, the team’s current leading scorer.
At just 20 years old, Gent is clearly keen to safeguard a valuable asset that is drawing interest from other clubs.
