Jordan Jenkins netted four goals as Glentoran triumphed over amateur side Drumaness Mills with a commanding 5-0 victory, securing a spot in the Irish Cup quarter-finals against Larne.
This match, originally scheduled for February 7 but postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Oval, saw Jenkins break the deadlock in the 24th minute with a right-footed shot just inside the box.

He doubled his tally in the 37th minute, dispatching a shot from the edge of the area following a clever set-up by Ben Gallagher.
Jenkins completed his hat-trick just before halftime, converting from close range after Josh Daniels flicked on a corner from Danny Amos.
Both Gallagher and James Singleton struck the woodwork for Glentoran, with Singleton’s effort denied by a stunning save from goalkeeper Aaron Carberry, who pushed it onto the crossbar.
In their pursuit of a fourth goal, the hosts hit the woodwork several times early in the second half, finally finding the net in the 79th minute through Jenkins once again.

Jenkins’ fourth goal was a highlight of the night, a beautifully curled effort from a tight angle into the top corner.
Cal Weatherup capped off the performance by winning and converting a penalty, while Drumaness had a late chance ruled out for offside after Reece Doyle found the net.
The Glens move on to face Larne in the quarter-finals, with their hopes for a first Irish Cup win since 2020 still alive.
“It was a tough match, and fair play to Drumaness for their spirited fight and some good moments during the game,” said Glentoran assistant manager Tim McCann.

“Their travelling support was fantastic and something to be proud of. All we can do is take care of the opponent in front of us; we didn’t underestimate this game, and a 5-0 win, advancing to the quarter-finals, is just what we wanted.”
