Manager Jim Goodwin may not be present in the dugout for Dundee United’s Scottish Premiership match against Kilmarnock on Saturday, as he has been admitted to the hospital after falling ill on Thursday.
In Goodwin’s absence, assistant coach Lee Sharp conducted first-team training at United’s St Andrews facility on Friday and took over the pre-match media responsibilities.

“He’s doing okay. I spoke with him last night and again this morning, and he seemed to be in good spirits,” Sharp shared on Friday.
“I don’t have all the details, but I asked how he was feeling. He mentioned that he was taken to the hospital yesterday because he felt unwell, and they’re keeping him for observation.”
Dundee United currently has one point from three matches in the Premiership, while Kilmarnock, Saturday’s opponents, have yet to earn a point this season after two games.
When asked if he anticipated taking charge of the team at Rugby Park, Sharp replied, “I really have no idea. We’re just taking it day by day and seeing how things unfold.”

“I’ll check in with him later today for updates, but that’s the extent of it for now; I simply don’t know.”
