Former AC Milan player Jens Petter Hauge has issued a warning to Juventus about the challenges of playing away at Bodo/Glimt, emphasizing that it’s a ‘tough’ environment. He also pointed to Erling Haaland as a testament to Norway’s ability to compete on the global stage.
Hauge’s team, Bodo/Glimt, will host Juventus at the Aspmyra Stadion this evening as part of the Champions League Round 5.

Juventus, still seeking their first win in European competition this season, faces a difficult task in Norway.
Hauge: ‘Tough’ to play at Bodo/Glimt
“Playing at home is challenging; we have 8,000 incredibly passionate supporters, sub-zero temperatures, strong winds across the pitch, and artificial turf. Snow can also be a factor,” Hauge told Gazzetta.

“Teams coming from outside can be caught off guard. Roma and Lazio have experienced this, and they are not alone,” he added.
Hauge, who previously played for Milan, scored five goals in 24 appearances during the 2020-21 season for the club, which acquired him after a standout performance in an Europa League qualifier.
Hauge’s Time at Milan
“I had a memorable game where I provided an assist and then scored to bring the score to 2-3. We lost, but it was an enjoyable experience,” he reflected.
“After the match, it was pure chaos. The sporting director informed me, ‘Jens, they want you.’ My phone exploded with messages, and within hours, I was signed to Milan. Paolo Maldini even video-called me; it was an extraordinary set of emotions—I could hardly process everything happening at that moment.”

Overall, Hauge has one goal in 13 appearances for the Norway national team, which triumphed over Italy twice in World Cup qualifying matches, topping Group I and pushing the Azzurri into a playoff situation.
“Haaland is our inspiration. He shows that even from a small nation, one can rise to the top of the football world,” Hauge emphasized.
“As a child, I thought it would be more advantageous to be born in countries like Brazil, Spain, or Portugal, where football is deeply rooted. But now, we realize that even Norway can compete with the very best; Erling serves as living proof of that.”
Currently, Bodo/Glimt has garnered two points in four Champions League matches, just one more than Juventus.
