Inter Milan’s experienced midfielder, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, is set to potentially start in the upcoming Champions League match against Liverpool.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport through FCInterNews, the 36-year-old is anticipated to rejoin the starting lineup after recovering from an extended injury layoff.

During his absence, Mkhitaryan missed the last five Serie A games and a Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.

Fortunately, the former Roma player has regained full fitness.

In his recent appearance, Mkhitaryan came off the bench during a decisive 5-1 victory against Venezia in the Coppa Italia, where he provided an assist for Ange-Yoan Bonny‘s fifth goal.

However, it remains uncertain if coach Cristian Chivu will risk Mkhitaryan in Saturday’s league match against Como.

With Inter looking to recover from their recent defeat at the Metropolitano Stadium, the team must avoid another setback in Europe.

This could lead Mkhitaryan to make just his second Champions League start of the season when Inter takes on Liverpool next week.
