The future of Ibrahima Konaté at Liverpool is becoming increasingly uncertain, with clubs like PSG and Real Madrid reportedly monitoring his situation. As his contract nears its final months, Konaté is poised to become a free agent in June 2026.
Liverpool has not yet secured a contract extension for him, which has led to speculation regarding his next steps. Starting January 1, he will be able to negotiate a pre-contract with other teams.

According to Foot Mercato, several leading European clubs, including PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, are keeping an eye on Konaté. Liverpool opted to retain him last summer instead of considering offers.
However, The Athletic recently reported that Real Madrid’s long-standing interest in him may be diminishing, partly due to his inconsistent performances.

“Bringing in too many new signings can disrupt team cohesion, so losing Konaté in January, regardless of his form, could lead to additional challenges,” Jones stated. “Therefore, I believe they are unlikely to sell him unless it becomes impossible to reach an agreement.”
