Real Madrid is actively seeking to bolster their midfield with a player who can take charge of matches with confidence and skill.
In this context, Los Blancos have identified Chelsea vice-captain Enzo Fernandez as a prime target for the role.

Fernandez Aims for Madrid Move
According to El Debate, the Argentine international has made it clear that his goal is to join Real Madrid as soon as the World Cup concludes.
Fernandez’s relationship with the Chelsea management has reportedly soured following his expressed interest in moving to Madrid, with the midfielder believing that a transfer would benefit all concerned.

Reports indicate that his agent, Javier Pastore, has been in discussions with super-agent Jorge Mendes to facilitate negotiations between Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Mendes has regained his foothold at Santiago Bernabeu thanks to Jose Mourinho’s anticipated return and has already been associated with discussions to include players like Joao Neves and Ruben Dias in future deals.
His extensive network within English football is a key reason for his preferred involvement in complex negotiations, and now he faces the challenge of persuading Chelsea to consider discussions about Fernandez’s future.
Chelsea’s Need for Player Sales
Chelsea’s financial circumstances might play a vital role in prompting transfer discussions. With the London club absent from European competitions next season, they may need to generate income through player sales.

Chelsea is reportedly valuing Fernandez at around £120 million, which is approximately €138 million, intending not just to recoup their investment but to also make a profit.
In contrast, Real Madrid’s valuation is significantly lower, estimated at around €100 million, including performance-related bonuses.
Another option under consideration is including a player from Real Madrid as part of the transfer deal.
While discussions are still in the early stages, the groundwork is being established for potential negotiations between the two clubs.
