Inter Milan has announced that defender Matteo Darmian has suffered a muscular injury to his left leg, which will keep him sidelined for the upcoming matches.
As he approaches his 36th birthday in December, Darmian has already made two appearances this season, in addition to competing in the FIFA Club World Cup over the summer.
Darmian to miss at least 10 days

According to the Nerazzurri medical staff’s report, Darmian has been diagnosed with a strain of the soleus muscle in his left leg.
He participated in Inter’s friendly against Atletico Madrid in Libya.
His condition will be reassessed next week, indicating he may be out for at least a couple of weeks.
This injury rules Darmian out for the Serie A match against Roma on Saturday and the upcoming Champions League match with Union Saint-Gilloise.
He is also unlikely to be fit in time for the crucial Scudetto match against defending champions Napoli on October 25.
Inter’s coach Cristian Chivu is also monitoring the recovery timeline for striker Marcus Thuram, who sustained an injury before international duty with France.
