Inter Milan Head Coach…

Cristian Chivu, head coach of Inter Milan, is now setting his sights on Arsenal following the team’s sixth consecutive away victory in Serie A.

Inter triumphed over Udinese with a narrow 1-0 scoreline, courtesy of a goal by Lautaro Martinez, demonstrating their ability to secure wins even in challenging circumstances.

In an interview with Rai Radio 1, Chivu emphasized that the team is evolving, learning to adapt rather than just control matches.

“We don’t have time to think about managing matches,” Chivu said.

“We need to play according to our energy levels. We’ve adapted and shown growth. Beyond just good football, we now understand when to dig in, defend, and secure a result.”

Chivu also noted the physical and mental challenges posed by the current match schedule, particularly in January.

“January is a tough month because we have games every three days,” he stated. “From the start of the year to early February, we’ll play eight matches within 25 days. We recognize the challenges, but we’re more mature and competitive compared to the first half of the season.”

Now, the focus shifts entirely to the Champions League and a crucial match against Arsenal at San Siro.

“To gain points and advance to the round of 16, we need a standout performance,” Chivu acknowledged.

“Arsenal are among the top teams in the world, rivaled only by Bayern. We respect their caliber and understand the difficulties they present.”

Nonetheless, Inter will face the match without fear.

“We are well-prepared for this competition,” Chivu concluded. “We know our capabilities and will approach the game with confidence, aiming for victory as it significantly enhances our chances of proceeding to the knockout stages.”
