In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Bergomi referred to Inter’s impressive season as a ‘miracle.’

Despite possessing little experience in top-tier management, the 45-year-old is on the verge of clinching the Scudetto in his inaugural year at the club.
Currently, the Nerazzurri enjoy a six-point lead over second-placed AC Milan, with just eight matches remaining.
However, there is no room for complacency, particularly after failing to secure a win in their recent league matches.
Even though Chivu is overseeing Inter’s longest winless streak in Serie A since 2023, he is outshining his predecessor, Simone Inzaghi.
The 20-time Italian champions have gathered two more points than at the same point last season.
Beppe Bergomi Extols Inter Milan’s Impressive Serie A Journey
“To me, it’s nearly miraculous that Inter find themselves at the top, considering the circumstances. Yet, at the moment, they seem vulnerable. Their performance isn’t what it used to be,” Bergomi noted.

“Some players are struggling under the pressure, others have just returned and are still finding their rhythm, while there are also those who haven’t been performing to expectations.
“Lautaro is crucial to the team, but a mental reset is essential; they need to shake off this negativity. To move forward, they must not dwell on being six points ahead,” Bergomi concluded.
Inter will be back in action on April 5, facing a vital home match against top-four contenders Roma.
Despite recent difficulties, Chivu can feel encouraged by the anticipated return of Lautaro Martinez.
The 28-year-old striker is expected to regain full fitness during the international break, making him likely to spearhead the attack when Gian Piero Gasperini’s team visits next month.
