Inter Milan Remain Firmly…

Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan continues to eye Roma midfielder Manu Kone, maintaining their long-standing interest in the player.

As reported by L’Interista, the Nerazzurri are still very much in pursuit of the French talent.

Inter made a concerted effort to acquire the former Borussia Monchengladbach star over the summer but were unable to come to terms with Roma.

The Giallorossi swiftly dismissed Inter’s approach, with Gian Piero Gasperini determined to keep hold of his exceptional midfielder.

However, Roma’s challenging financial situation may compel the club to consider selling Manu Kone either in January or next summer.

After shifting focus from Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, Inter recognized Kone as their primary summer target.

Nevertheless, Roma’s reluctance to negotiate Kone’s transfer led to the Nerazzurri acquiring Andy Diouf from Lens instead.

However, the Frenchman has struggled to make an impact at San Siro and faces the possibility of leaving at the end of the season.

With Henrikh Mkhitaryan also anticipated to exit, Inter is likely to revisit discussions with Roma regarding Kone’s potential transfer to San Siro.
